Performed for the very first time in Chicago, "Music for Seven Basketballs" is a rhythmic meditation which draws on West African music, post-minimalism and, obviously, basketball. Created for Mocrep by New York based composer and bassist Michael Coltun, the piece was premiered at The Stone in 2017.
