simple heart (2019-ongoing)

Designed to test fresh ideas, shake up ensemble relationships, and build the company’s repertoire, Simple Heart is a new biannual series from Mocrep. Simple Heart challenges participating collective members to pitch, curate, co-create, and tech a slate of new, 15–25-minute works on a 6–8 week timeline. 

Simple Heart I was presented as part of Steppenwolf Theatre’s Lookout Series in November 2019 and included three new pieces. The series will have new iterations each year.
